Sick Gourami #1
I’ve noticed in the last few weeks one of my Gouramis has lost loads of colour (Looks colourful in picture but actually extremely pale).
It’s also become very bloated, and appears to have small swellings either side of the base of its tail!
My other Gourami is fine and none of the other fish (just plattys currently) are showing any symptoms of illness.

Nothing has changed in the tank recently!

They are in a 100 gallon tank with heater, external filter and a skimmer.

I did a water change last week as per normal and used fluval tap safe as I normally would.

Water test shows nitrates are slightly high but nothing other than that!

Any advise would be great!

Re: Sick Gourami #3
Hi
Dwarf gouramis are frequently infected with a nasty iridovirus when purchased. This can take some time to show symptoms, but when they do arise they are the kinds of things you're seeing. You can try treating with Esha 2000 in case it's a simpler bacterial infection, but don't be too hopeful as when they become bloated like this there's often very little chance of recovery

I agree with Fishlady, but the gourami seems to be a bit bloated. Am I right?
Are the scales protruding from the fish?
