Can i feed garden snails to Assasin snails?

Having trouble with Snails in my garden, buggers seems to be immune to the old egg shell and straw trick.
I dont want to use poisons as have lots of hedgehogs around so had thought about collecting them up and feeding to my assasin snails..
Has anyone every done this and is it dangerous?
