Java Moss and Java Fern #1
Hi all and my apologies if this has been asked before.

I'm planning to buy some new Java Moss and Java Fern plants and wanted to know if there is anything I can soak them in first to avoid snail infestation. This was something I didn't do the last time I bought them (from my LFS) and I wound up with snails everywhere which were a massive headache to eradicate. Any advice would be much appreciated

Re: Java Moss and Java Fern #2
Either a 10-minute dip in a weak potassium permanganate solution or in a weak bleach solution (dilute1:20). Follow with a good rinse and for the bleach, a soak in water with a double dose of dechlorinator.
