White Cloud Minnow has a sudden red rash #1
hi,
my Minnow I've had for 2 years suddenly has this red rash but just on one side, her anus is also red and "bloody".
I've looked through all the diseases online but couldn't identify it.

See attached for photo.

GH 180 ppm (mg/l)
KH 0 - 40 ppm (mg/l)
PH 6.5 - 7
NO2 nitrate 0 ppm (mg/l)
NO Nitrate 20 - 40 ppm (mg/l)

Should I worry? She is swimming around fine like usual. Just this rash. If there's anything I can do for the fish, the least I thought was post online.

Thank you in advance,
Lee

oh, and, everyone asks me if she's pregnant...

she's always been inflated like a balloon ready to pop since the day I got her.

Re: White Cloud Minnow has a sudden red rash #3
The rash looks like haemorrhagic septicaemia which is a serious viral blood infection. Symptoms include extreme bloating, red rashes and internal bleeding. Unfortunately, there is no cure for this and as the fish has internal bleeding the best thing to do it put it to sleep humanely.
