Yamato Shrip #1
Hi

I added 3 Yamato shrimp yesterday and haven't seen them since. There are hiding places but could they have been eaten? Also in the 60L tank are 1 Plecostomus, 6 Neon tetra, 3 Rummy Nose Tetra and 1 Black Widow Tetra.

Any ideas please?

Many thanks

Hi Dakmel

Roughly how big were the shrimp when you introduced them? It's very likely that your plec may have eaten them

Also, for future reference, you may want to add a couple more black widow tetra as they are shoaling fish

Either that or they're just hiding because they are new to the aquarium, most shrimp will do this until they feel comfortable enough to come out

Re: Yamato Shrip #4
I didn't see the shrimps for sometime but I'm pleased to say they are all alive and well, just very shy.
