Hi everyone I want to start a marine set up, nothing to big- 2/3ft would be ideal. Can anyone point my in the direction of a full set up? Ie everything included? Not had any fish experience so will need some help Thanks a lot. Mark
Thanks for the reply, I know marine are totally different, and that's not a problem, just want a good set up that works well, everyones got to start somewhere hey? I'm going to do this and I want to do it right, I've done a load of research, but I'm not sure what gear is good or not. I don't want anything too fancy, 2/3ft tank with a bit of live rock, couple nice corals, 2/3 clown fish, and some cleaners.
Im not that well up on marines but i would think a 3 ft 180L would need to be the minimum if only to save you trouble with fast fluctuating water parameters (the more water there is the longer it takes to swing changes ) I am sure there are others here that know far better than me but this is what i would be looking at if i started a marine
I didn't get it from seapets, i got it from my local shop. They also modified it and built me a sump system for it.
The tank is a more reasonable price, but don't forget everything that goes with a marine setup. For example, on top of the ?500 for tank/sump i've just ordered ?210 of live rock & sand. Then another ?100 for a skimmer. Then another ?100-ish (if not more) for testing kits, refractometer, powerheads, and other accessories.
That's all before i've even looked at a fish! It soon mounts up so choose wisely :)
