Time to chill out a little before I get offended that anyone is suspecting me of lying or of not going to a 'decent' university (or before I die laughing about the assumptions being made there
).
If I were to be convinced by such a study I'd want it run over 20-40 years with probably more than 100 individuals. I base that on the idea that goldies live 20-40 years, grow throughout their lives and have a large variation in the breeding characteristics after all the decades of being mass produced. I've kept about 30 goldies over the years and they've all been very different, so I don't think it would be unreasonable to look at using more than 100
But really it's the duration that is the key for me here
