Hi, i've been looking for ages for anyone with multis or even anywhere thats sells them! I know they breed fairly rapidly so was wondering if within a few weeks or months you would have any to pass on? I live just south of birmingham so travelling to oxford would be fine :)

Hi all not been around for a while. I saw the post above and had to say something. A while back I had several, I think 16, Multies from Cathie. I had them in a 200 litre tank to start with, but after a while the 16 had turned into almost 500 in a 72 x 24 x 24 600 litre tank. Alas I have sold most of them now as I needed to have a move around as I have now switched to mainly marines. I still have the original 16 but I don't know how much longer they will survive.

I'll certainly be open to offloading a couple at some point in the future. Not sure when, though - not sure how long it takes for them to be of an age where it would be appropriate to move them on. The count is 9 fry. All doing well, still tiny but all seem to be inhabiting their own shell now. Very cute.

Letting them go will be hard of course, I have all my surviving Bolivian ram fry from a year+ a go still in situ in my main tank, just can't part with the little boogers.

Glad to hear they are all doing well! Looking forward to when I can enjoy how cute they are too.

I can imagine, I still have some bolivian ram fry from last year in another tank and don't really want to see them go!

Judging by my original fish the lifespan is about 5 - 6 years.

Seriously?! If only I wasn't working on sunday and also in the middle of uni exams...
I'm in alcester and am always going back and forth to redditch.
Do you know how much they will potentially go for at the auction and how many there are possibly going to be?
