shrimps #1
hi just a quick question on shrimps!

i have purchased some shrimps from my lfs, there a bit larger than i thought and my fish dont try to eat them.

i want to keep them in my tank as they look cool, is there any reasons why i wouldn't want to keep them and how long do they live for? thanks.
so much to learn!!!

Re: shrimps #2
Ive got a pair of shrimps in my 2fter and they do a cracking job of keeping the algae at bay, ive had mine for about 6 months - sposed to live for about 2 years. Only thing you have to make sure is that none of your fish are big enough to eat them or they will get big enough to eat them.

Cant remeber how big the Loach gets or its feeding preferences but shrimps should be fine with the rest of them.

Armano Srimps are generaly the ones available for freshwater.

hillstreams are fine, and fishy-fishy get some shrimps some eat algae but some others filter feed with fans, others are lobsters so eat ur fish, and make sure they are salttie ones
