Does anyone have any Nerites they're willing to sel #1
Hi

I've just reduce my tank but as the tank is near our dining room
Doors I get quite a lot of algae in my tank.

No LFS near me has any nerite snails and was wondering if anyone had any they were willing to sell. Obviously would cover postage.

Please PM me if you have any

Cheers
Steve

Trouble is no one breeds them at home unlike MTS, so you will probably have to resort to eBay e.g. this seller

I was having a look around ebay but thought i'd ask here first :)

Just have to work out how many i need, i did have a bit of an algae issue mainly due to the positioning of my tank as the only place i can place it is near our patio doors. There's a lot of daylight (but no direct sunlight) that is on the tank most of the day.

Cheers

I've had nerites and the're good at eating algae, but you need quite a few of them. If you have stocking room Otocinclus are goods algae eaters as well as amano shrimp and planting heavily. However the best way of reducing algae is tackling the root cause. Can you reduce the daylight somehow, blinds maybe?
If you drink too much, expect to wake up in the strangest places! Resized Imageimg
