Glugging noise coming from filter #1
Forum,

I have a pond which currently has a clarke pump and an Oasis 240000 filter (Including UV). Recently I've noticed a glugging noise from the filter box and the waterfall is flowing irregularly i.e. it flows then gushes water.

I have checked there is no blockage in the pump. i.e. cleaned it and checked the propeller is working.
I have checked the sponges in the filter box are cleaned.
I have checked there is a constant flow of water from the pump and I now feel I have isolated it to the filter box in particular the UV filter when the water is pumped back into the filter box.

The filter box itself is several years old.

Wondered if anyone on here had any suggestions?

Cheers

Hi, and welcome. (I can only reply to what you have written)
Can you confirm what pump and filter you have please, (make and model of both) as I can't find that filter, and the only clarke pumps I know of are sump or bigger pumps, a couple of pictures would also help.

Quick guide to adding a picture

Upload your picture to a free picture hosting site (such as Image shack, photo bucket, tiny pic, etc)
Copy the image address into your post and use the links I have used e.g.

{img}http://www.a-picture-hosting-site.com/your-given- picture-name.jpg{/img}

But where I have used { } brackets use [ ]
Good quality costs. Bear this in mind before you start.

Sorry if my reply is NOT want you want to hear, but what I have said is true.

We can only go by what you type.

A "thank you" costs nothing, but goes a long way.
