Just a quick hello - I'm new! #1
Hi all.

Just that really! Just registered as I'm wondering what to do with all our baby assassin snails - we have at least 100 I think.
Any suggestions very welcome!

Hi and welcome,

Baby Assassins - you could see if your LFS will take them. They may not pay you, but if you need to move them on it's an option.

eBay is also an option, though you'll probably not make much after fees etc.

I'm not desperate to get rid of them, they don't harm anything in the tank etc. Just wondering what would happen if I just leave them - images of being over run!

Assassins generally breed much less slowly than other snails so your's must be carrying a very rampant gene lol

Most tropical keepers entertain them to keep on top of nuisance snails such as ramshorn and pond snails. Have you considering selling them? (Far wiser than adding snail eating fish IMO)

Prices on Ebay range anywhere from ?2 for one, to ?6 for 5. If you undercut the prices listed and charge enough to cover postage and your ebay fee, you would probably do very well Personally, I wouldn't post in winter though without the use of a heat pack. Lack of available food will slow them down in time.
