Assassin with Apple Snail #1
I've got lots of those horrible bladder snails in the WCMM tank so would it ok to pop an assassin in there? My Apple Estelle lives in that tank, should I move her?

Thanks chaps

Re: Assassin with Apple Snail #3
Jon are the params in your wcmm and goldy tank the same? I've got Brian ( i kmow very original) my apple snail in my goldy tank. He's been in there a couple of years and as long as he hasn't got too much algae on him they leave him well alone. And before you ask i clean him with a babys toothbrush every couple of weeks.

Re: Assassin with Apple Snail #4
Yep they are in the same room and everything, there is an apple snail in the goldie tank already (Clarence). Do you think I should remove her before putting an assassin in? I've done a bit of mooching on the net and most places say that it's ok but don't want to put her at risk.

Re: Assassin with Apple Snail #5
If it was me i'd put her in with clarence for the time being but i'm no expert.I used to have 5 in the goldy tank at one time and every few weeks had a clutch of eggs, though sadly not one of the babys lived beyond a few seconds as as soon as they droped into the water they became a nice snack

Re: Assassin with Apple Snail #7
It was such a shame though just to have got one out of all the eggs would have been nice but when there's food involved you've got no chance beating a goldy to it lisa

Re: Assassin with Apple Snail #8
I would move the apple snail if it was me. The assassins would go for the easier prey first and then chances are they would turn on the bigger snail if they were hungry.
