Mr S sent it to me, have been dying for a chance to use it!

You should do pics of your fish if not of you. That's easy for me to say though, I know what you look like

Will see what I can come up with for a sticky

I am now going to spend all my time trying to get these little beggars to mate. Considering they live 40 - 50 years I have plenty of time to try different things and parameters.

A bit of Barry White, some candles, turn the lights down low, whatever the clown loach equivalent of champagne is and away you go

Seriously, if you're going to try it it would be great to have a diary of it all so make sure you keep proper detailed notes Maybe try contacting the International Loach Association (assuming you haven't already thought of that!) and see what info they have on record for breeding attempts

Waiting to hear back as we speak and from other sources as well.

Will try the Barry white, if it doesn't work on the fish it may help me chill a bit whilst I am waiting...

I will start something soon blog-a-log wise.

Re: Fish Breeders Club #37
remember reading about one a few years ago, 8/9 year old loaches, same method as some harder amazon species deteriate water quality, raise temp and let water level drop over a month or so, feed fish to them as extra protein, big cold water change/top-up and boom

(It has never been achieved in captivity anywhere in the world... oh what a legacy that would leave for me. ).

It's been achieved at least twice. The FK caresheet mentions one UK spawning.

There was also a detailed report in the 1970's publication Aquarium Digest produced by Tetra. Sadly this has been out of print for years. But I'm sure you could track down a copy if you tried hard enough.

It would still be an incredible achievement if you did manage it though. Good luck.
