It's a Nerite Snail isn't it? (Red Spotted?)

aha cheers, ive got one exactly the same that is red.
just looked on google images, the snail does come up, but then theres ones with different patterns, guess theres variations

Do they grow bigger, any idea of lifespan?
theyve grown about 1/2cm further since i got them.
I just need a green one now, and id have the whole traffic light system, maybe fish will stop so i can have a look at them then!

Nerites should live for at least 2-3 years but commonly much more, depending on water params. Ruby Nerites that I have experience with got to 1 inch or so (a bit bigger) before re-homing.

Cheers for the article. I just bought a large tank and want to get some clown loaches, Ill leave those snails out, im guessing they will eat the snails when they get big enough.
How about those malaysian trumpet snails though? if they only come out of the substrate at night should that be ok?
