Re: New Fluval Roma 240 tank! #31
well well well.

These little puffers definitely make their tank their own!

They are certainly very assertive.

I am going to be adding more scenery to my tank to create more defined areas or territories in the tank.

Im keeping a close eye on these guys. There is something amazing about them but i will not let them destroy my tank, thats for certain.

Interestingly, a "daddy long legs" flew into my tank when i left the lid open for a short while. They destroyed it within seconds.

Can I suggest something without any offence

Please rehouse them sooner then later. These are definitely not community fish and I fear you other stock will be ripped to bits. Once they mature a bit, carnage can follow in community tanks very very quickly.

It's a ticking bomb you know, given there are other species in there

They have gone.

I returned them today and got some other fish instead.

It was sad to see them go, but more so, it made me angry purely because of the poor advice given in the first place.

Oh well, you live and learn!

I'd much prefer a happy tank...!

I will post pictures later...

I think you have saved yourself a lot of heartbreak. Maybe you will have a separate tank for some DPs in the future??

What did you get instead?

I got three of these as replacements, (the name has escaped me this evening, blame the red wine!)

By the way, the tank has already gone back to peaceful!

i've just bought a fluval roma 200 how you finding the u4 filter? was thinking of maybe upgrading to the external 205 or a different branded external filter but so far not really having any trouble with mine stocked up on the carbon poly pads but i'll be replacing them every month or so as i don't see the need to do it every 2 weeks like it say's!!!
