I recently ordered a new aquarium stand online and seeing as it was free delivery I went a bit overboard and ordered lots of extras for when I set the tank up (not started yet, waiting till after my holiday). One of the things I ordered was Tetra aqua EasyBalance, when I received it I was reading the bottle and it says stabilises pH and KH and reduces phosphate. Does anyone know whether stabilises pH means stabilises it at what it is or takes it back to neutral? I have soft acidic water (according to the water board- still not got round to ordering test kit) and I'd like it to stay that way! I'd assume it was the first but thought I'd better check.

Don't use it. It's expensive to use all year round and really doesn't have any benefits.

From my experience with the product I'd expect it to push your PH up and increase the filter maintenance required.

Thanks for the advice, ebay it is! Teach me to make impulse buys, at least it was cheap.
