Thank you for the quick response,

Can you clarify a query about the antibacterial effect of the product, does it harm the Nitrosomonas and Nitrospira bacteria or are the antibacterial effects in some way limited?

regards,
Steve.

No effect on the nitrifiers

Perhaps it's a little less verbose that some of you where hoping for.

Oh weldone getting a reply Eagle! Maybe my emails wern't good enough for the good Doctor?

Still sounds a bit vague to me. I personally don't think they should be marketing a product that they arnt prepared to explain what it's made of and how exactly it works.

Maybe when the Doc gets his patent approved he will enlighten us further and we can all chuck a bullet in our tanks.

Think I'll give it a miss for now, anyone prepared to 'bite the bullet'?

Oh good find Cathie! Thats basically exactly the same thing as the silver bullet I bet. Did you read the comment / review at the bottom of the page?

Ooo a slug trap! Nice one. They're rearing their ugly heads again now because of the rain. Grrr. Might have to give the trap a go..

I love Lakeland. Have you visited the shop in Cumbria? It's great! I could spend a fortune and have nowhere to keep all the stuff I bought and never used.

My grandmother uses home made beer traps for slugs and snails. I think it's essentially she doesn't finish her beer, tips the dregs in a jam jar and buries that up to its neck next to her favourite plants. The next day she goes round and tips them out.

Hi Eagle We've tried exactly that method, we got a few I think. Maybe we need to bury more jars to have an effect?
