clown fish fry #1
Do any of you have any advise for rearing clown fish fry. My marroon clowns are on there 3rd batch of eggs. I cought some of the last lot but they died after 3 days.

no one? my next batch will hatch on tuesday. I am compleatly new to fry so any advise on genral fry care would be welcome

to rear clownfish you need live food

to rear them you need to hatch them in a rearing tank as moving newly hatched fry tends to kill them, they are very delicate after all

not just artemia, you need a live culture of rotifers as well as phytoplankton to feed them on, the rotifers then need to be added to the rearing tank twice daily to maintain a dense culture within the tank that they are eating

no filter, just daily water changes

after a few days they'll move onto artemia and so on onto dry foods

I can't hatch them in a seperate tank. they lay them on the glass.

How do I grow the live food you mentioned. will be to late for this lot but maybe next time.
