Eggy Smell is just the boyfriend - ha ha!

The smll is horrible almost like stagnent water and has eased a little since the water change but will do another one tomorrow.

Iput brande new gravel in it when i got hte fish out of the pond so this is as clean as it can be.

Would the fish be carrying any bad bacteria since the attack on their fins so cause the smell?

came home from work today to find the tank clear and the smell has eased so will process another water change Tuesday to make sure.

Have had to put the male fancy goldfish back into the pond in a sectioned part we have made as he was pestering the females in the tank too much stressing them out.

He is now just sitting quietly, eating but not as active as he usually is - any ideas?

He might just be freaked out by the move, or exhausted from wallowing after the females. Or maybe he's just bored. If he looks healthy, give him a few days to recover and get his bearings.
