Live Rock Question #1
Hi,

Just a quick question about rock. I'm doing all my fact finding before i take the plunge!!!

The tank i'm looking at is 178L and so i reckon i need 20kg of rock min to start. So my question is would it be ok to use 15kg of LR and then use the "dead rock" i have in my tropical to bulk it out as i have about 20-30kg in that tank now. Its the same kind of rock, but just the dried stuff you can buy for ?4-5 a kg in the shop? I know any goodies on that rock will die off due to the salt, but after time will the Live Rock seed the "dead rock".

Any ideas on this?

Neil

Re: Live Rock Question #3
No meds used, but I will boil in ro water too. Am I right in thinking that after a long period of time this rock will become live again?
