Aggressive Shrimp
#1
Hi everyone, this is my first post on here - So be nice :)
A while ago I purchased 5 Algae Eating Shrimps for my tank, however, it turned out as they grew bigger, one of the 5 was different...
After doing some research, I believe it's a Red Clawed Shrimp. My problem is, he's very aggressive and over the past month or so, is getting worse :(
I don't want to get rid because he's so interesting to watch. Any ideas how I could calm him down, or will I just have to live with it??
Oh.. and he's already eaten all his friends :P
Thanks in advance.
David.

All the usual...
Neons, Tiger Barbs, Bleeding heart tetras, etc...
Also just got 2 congo frogs, hopefully they'll survive ok with him.

When you say hes being aggresive, how do you mean? Has he harmed any of the fish?

Yep. He killed all the other shrimps, nips all the fish I've got, and whenever he catches one, eats it whole :( I've seen it happen to a cherry barb, the other day!

Crumbs! Better get him out asap then! Do you have another tank you can put him in on his own?

If he's attacking and killing fish, get him out of that tank! You don't have any other choice.

Unfourtunatley, he's already got one of my frogs
Poor little fella
I don't have another tank to put the shrimp in, so can't decide what to do. He won't survive in the pond

Get him into a large plastic tub then take him to the LFS when you can, probably tuesday. If you leave him in there he will just eat all your fish.
