are there any cold freshwater inverabrae? i have never seen any in my LFS, and would any of them be compatible with goldfish

Some varieties of Ramshorn snails are cold water and widely available.

cool, im just wondering, i have a 15 liter tank knocking about now after bad advice from p@h... so was thinking might try keeping invertabrae.

[edit] not that my goldfish would be in that tank. dont know why the goldfish were relavant.

have you thought of adding a small heater and doing a shrimp only tank

that would be quite cool :) id have to look into it, but im sure there are facts sheets on this fabulous website any advice would be very appreciated.

Or if you can keep it in a reasonably warm room and have an anglepoise lamp above it for about 10 hours a day, what about a triops? (don't laugh they are fascinating in a horrible sort of way!)

I always thought triops were weeny little things - that site says they can get to 3 inches long

I have read up on the triops and they really fascinate me, although, from all the sites i have looked at, i still dont know how long they should live, which is the only confusion i have.

Can't you keep freshwater mussels with goldies? Not read up on this, keep meaning to...

i've never seen freshwater muscles...what are they like? x
