GH has more effect then was realized on ph. Without the calcium in gh, the ph goes up, not down.
While we use baking soda to steady on the kh & Ph, you would use calcium chloride and epsome salts (magnesium) to bring up the GH content!

I don't have a dosage rate for a AQ at this point, but Calcium Chloride and Epsome are added in equal parts: IE: 1 pound each will produce 50 ppm per 1,000 gl's.

well. my gh is very very high. this is because i have hard water. are you sure its not just the fact the your water is too high for the strips. is you source water hard or soft do you know
