Re: Swannys Orca #33
yeah ceriths are cool, you may need a few more than you have tho! they dont grow very big.
how much did they charge you, coz ceriths arent worth as much as star astrea!
what a rubbish shop! i think you should go back and have a word, if they dont know what theyre selling they shouldnt be selling it! if they were anything like similar it could be a forgiveable mistake, but thats a bit of a joke.

Re: Swannys Orca #34
I don't know how much they cost, my mum got them for me as an early birthday present aloong with my hermits and some marine snow.

One of them has laid eggs on the glass, what is the chance of these hatching? How long will it take?

Re: Swannys Orca #37
Hi there, I'm very new to all of this but i am considering buying the Orca Nano marine reef. I've not yet visited the shop, only seen it in their website (i was looking for a tank anyway) When i buy the tank, it's empty, right? What is "live rock" and i have to buy this seperatly, sorry if i seem a little stupid! Thanks for your help.

Re: Swannys Orca #38
the live rock is the most important part of the tanks filteration process, more live rock the better...the inhabitants of the live rock break down the ammonia in the water and turn it to nitrite, then nitrate..coral can then help break down the nitrates.i have about 6kg of live rock at the moment in my orca and about 1kg in the filter chambers at the back of the orca 450.and yes you have to buy this seperatly about 12 quid a kg can vary.
