Re: Tried and tested fruit and veg... #51
Have to say that it was a resounding success! Cooked up a batch of the vege-blocks last night and plecs cory's and even the angels got stuck in.

Have frozen the batch in ice cube trays so are in ideal doses for twice a week treats!

(I always feed the plecs before lights out and the whole block was gone by morning, when I feed cucumber there's usually a little left)

Nope, I've never found banana to mess up the tank. When you mash it, it goes kind of sticky and holds together in the water. The goldies really love it and they get hyper when they eat it, which I would imagine is because of all the sugar (^-^)

I found mine wouldn't touch carrot, either. I tried to feed them some Clearspring organic nori sprinkles yesterday after reading on here it was good for them (I had some handy in the cupboard) and they turned their noses up at that, too- how ungrateful!

However I gave them some avocado the other day and they were all over that like a rash, even the weather loach!
