Re: Newbie Fish Keeper Needs Help With Ulcers
#33
The extenal treatment I have been using is by a company called TAP and the product is called Aqua Swap
It's described by the manufacturer as:
A unique topically applied spray antiseptic solution for treating fish externally. Aqua Swab should be applied directly to ulcers, wounds, sores, scrapes, damaged eyes and other miscellaneous external fish disorders. Aqua Swab is more effective than in-situ treatments due to its direct application.
Using a product like bonjela never even crossed my mind, even though it's a really well known ulcer treatment! I haven't actually got any in the house at the moment, but I'll call in at the chemists tomorrow morning and apply some on the wounds of the effected fish before I go on holiday.
When i apply the bonjella, should I just put some on the end of my finger and carefully cover the whole wound?
