Re: Spongebob betta tank?!!! #21
I was looking for information on knife fish and I came across this Betta Vase. These people most not care about the fish their selling and just do it for the profit. They even say you dont have to feed the poor betta. When you say that you dont like buying betta's from the little pots ide be quite pleased to get one when my tank is better as in a way you are rescuing it. (I dont agree the fish should be in these conditions)

these have been around for ages, they say you can grow a plant in the top of the vase and the betta will live off the roots and the algae, and how many fish shops do you see with bettas in little boxes. di

there is where they should be, however, its apparently the fish are fine, because they take air from the surface and not rely on the oxygen in the tank, but i dont like it all the same, di

We have lots of animal rights organisations here, but fish don't rate high on many of there agendas and they are over-run with problems concerning all species.
Unfortunatly these boxes/tanks/vases etc are all perfectly legal.

When you think the government here wont do anything about fishes as prizes at fairs they are not gonna do anything quickly or effectively.
