Animal rave when I go to bed? #1
Hi,

At the top of my pond I have a shallow waterfall, and over the past few weeks each morning I have been finding small droppings on the tiers. I was just curious to what it might be and if it would be any risk to my fish (droppings contaminating the water, or a predatory animal).

Or maybe its just the animals having a rave when I go to bed?

without seeing the droppings we can't really say what they are from

but i wouldn't worry about it, as long as the pond is over 500L a few droppings wont affect it

Are you near any natural water courses? Just thinking mink, although its a bloody long shot and I have no idea what mink droppings look like.

I live right next door to a lake, and one of my neighbours has a pond.

Has your neighbour reported any fish losses?

Its a longish dropping, and whatever it is it only leaves on.

Forgot to mention my house is situated in front of a small forest.

It couldn't be rats could it? They like water and may be looking for food?
