hi you need about 18kg of rock for 180 kg tank and your filter as was said dont use sponges just use it for rowaphos and activated carbon..

hi you should have your whites on for eight hours a day at most ,some people put them on for less...
you could encounter problems with algae if your lights are on for too long....
i have my blues come on at 10am the the whites at noon whites off at 20.00 and blues at 2100.....

hi if your going to use the berlin method then you are going to need 1kg of live rock for every 10kg of water..

i have got a few in my tank,i was told that they are sea stars and good at cleaning and wont get much bigger..
so if what i was told is right then they are sea stars

every time i turn my sump pump on white particles get blasted in to the tank with the start of flow...
do you clean your pipes out and what with are the paticles going to cause any problems to the main tank...

what is the best supplement to use for an alkalinity buffer i have read about a two part calcium supplement and also kalk,any suggestions would be a great help

i use rowaphos and i have only just installed a reactor for it and i must say i can see a huge improvement in my tank.
i did use it in the fiter in a bag in my other tank but wasnt as good as using the reactor,
i recomend a phosphate reactor.....

i feed formula 1 flakes and formula 2 pellets as main feed is this ok....
