Re: Hello #4
Going really well thanks FL,

have been poping on here but not posting much,

mostly been on the Discus forum, lots to learn,

over the last 2 years most of my time has been taken up with my ever growing discus tank and two children,

currently only running two tanks at the moment,
newly upgraded 400ltr Discus tank, inc sump.

and my 40ltr planted shrimp tank,

oh and constantly advising my brother in law on his 4 tanks, who hs made so many newby mistakes..

Re: Small GSP won't eat snails #6
You would be surprised,

My gsps never bother with snails, my figure 8 loves them and hunts them most nights

If you open the cockles slightly, they peck at the shell to get to the inside,

Mine were the same size as yours, now about 3.5 inches

Re: Small GSP won't eat snails #7
Have you tried cockles or mussels,

Just feed one of these, remove the uneaten food if they don't eat it, after a few days they will eat as its all on offer,
My gsps get fed ever other day, once or twice a week on hard shell food,
Mine investigate everthing which goes in the tank, my hand included,
I have a special device for removing the empty cockles shells as they attack the shells as I remove them from the tank,

Ps what size is she n what salinity is your water at

Re: The Official Aquaponics Thread #9
That's funny Fish lady, you are going along the same lines as me,
I have had a few ideas, I will post some badly draw pictures tomorrow of a few ideas I came up with,

I have been planning and pestering onyxia now re this,
Still not sure regards substrate, but have it on good authority riverbank or marsh clay is the way to go
