Re: How many hobbies is considered too many? #1
The more the better. As long as you have space to put all the stuff that comes with them

Re: Best way to dispose of dead fish? #3
our council have just started a new composting scheme. They say cos of there new high temp composting method they can take meat and other food waste, so will be able to handle the odd fish.

Re: nitrate #4
Yes but in the tank you have fish constantly adding more so the rate of loss wont be enough to keep up. With out more being added maybe that loss would be enough to explain you results.

But as I said I don't know for sure my self just putting ideas up

Re: Lots of baby fish #6
I would say that you have given your baby fish lots of places to hide and so let more of them live.

Re: Sealing a leaking tank #10
you need to find the leak before you can decide what to do. Is it the seal or an external filter/pipes. until you know where the problem is you can't fix it.

If it is the seal on the tank it depends how bad it is. I had a pin hole leak in my seal and was able to fix it from the outside of the tank with tank sealent.

but my leak wasn't big enothe that I saw a drop in water. You need to find the leak
