Re: Aggressive Shrimps? #1
thanks for everyone's advice. think i'm going to just put him back in the tank. I am going for a proper water test tomorrow at our local supplier. Have done my own nitrate test and that was ok, but I'll get the pro to do it as well.

thanks again

clare

I have just looked up amano shrimp on the net and it could be. Also looks like a ghost shrimp though! I will try and get a decent picture to post. I thought about the fish dying and he is just eating them. Read on net that in warmer water the ghost shrimp can be more active and attack other fish. At the moment he has been put into isolation in his own tank! A bit like guilty until proven innocent!

Hi

Sorry to be ignorant but I have no idea what kind of shrimp it is! It is transparent if that helps. It is in a tropical community tank with neons, danios etc.

Aggressive Shrimps? #5
Hi

Has anyone had any problems when they have added a shrimp to their tank? I have had some fish that have disappeared, no bodies left floating or anything. A friend at work said shrimps were aggressive, but I didn't listen to him and now I'm wondering if he was right!

Any advice would be great.
