Re: Baby fishies #5
No I no longer have any Goldies we just have the 2 Mollies and 7 Platies.

We think the babies are the Mollies but are gonna have to wait till they get a bit bigger to see if there is any Platies in amongst them. As there is gold colored babies and the Mum came from a tank holding solely Dalmation Mollies so not sure if there is the possibility of the orange ones being different colored Mollies to Mum or coming from 1 of our orangy colored Platies and us just not noticing them.

Not sure what we are going to do with them yet will have a word with our LFS see if we can swap the babies for a couple of new adults or let the kids have them in their tanks in the bedrooms we will see. Also it depends on how many live to adults but they seem to be thriving at the moment.

Baby fishies #6
Some of you may know that I have had the fish in a temporary tank (3 foot) whilst we decorated so we could move their tank to the other side of the room.

Well when we had re-cycled their original tank and were moving them back to their tank much to Hubby's surprise he discovered ickle baby fishies and lots of them.

We have now moved all the adult fisheis over (except Dyson the Plec)and now my kitchen tank has become a nursery tank it is great watching the little fellows growing and swimming around.

I was just wondering how long they would have to be kept away from the adult fish so as not to become lunch for them?

I know it is a while off being able to put them in with the adults but as I have plans for the kitchen tank I was wondering how long I would have to put them on hold for.

The adults are 2 Mollies (mum and dad) and 6 Platies (who are in the 180 Juwel)

Will supply a pic when of the babies once I have re-sized it.

Oh I can't use Hubbys camera as he has an SLR and I am clueless when it comes to that I tried to use it a few times and the pics come out blurry as anything.

Gonna take my camera and the tripod to the park when we get a warmer day to try and get some pics of the swan building it's nest and chasing the Canada Goose off of the island (like they do every year)
