Re: Badly injured gourami #1
Yeah, my gouramis are both males. It's impossible here to get females. I've never seen one in any fish stores ;_;

I don't have Melafix here. What's it made with ? Do you have to remove your carbon filtering mass while your fish is on treatment ?

Badly injured gourami #2
I have two dwarf gouramis that don't really love each other. It used to be fine until I saw that one of them had one of his two thingies under it's belly chopped... It also has one of his fins swollen at it's base. I don't have a quarantine tank, so I need to know what to do in this case... I'd like it to survive, but how could I help it heal it's injuries ? I've never had a sick fish, so I have no idea what to do ><

Snail infested ;_; #4
Ok, I'm starting to have undesired guests in my fishtank ;_; I can't identify them, but I saw a pretty big one, I don,t understand why I didn't see it before... We got rid of it, but HEYYY I GOT BABIES ! I can't identify them, so I'm really scared ! These were brown, but are NOT ramshorns, and their shell was a bit pointy, but never like the malaysian trumpet snail. I couldn't get a picture, but I'm scared the babies end up in my filter and break it like they did to my boyfriend's filter !!!

Help ;_;

Re: Gourami #8
Adult males have deep red-orange coloration on the throat and breast. Also, the dorsal fin is longer and more pointed on the male than the female.

Re: Gourami #9
I got two males. You're lucky here if you can get a couple. You don't find females in lfs, you have to go directly to the breeders, who rarely want to sell to individuals.

Re: Gourami #10
I have 2 dwarfs gouramis in a 10g along with WCMMs, and everything is fine, apart from the territory part. Both of my gouramies chase each other, which is... normal, but they don,t hurt themselves. I wouldn't recommend more than 2, with other fish for the reason someone else up there mentionned.
