How well is my Cycling going? #1
Hi all, sorry to post another 'I need help with my fishless cycling' post but I'm having weird issues with my tank as I'm not sure it is quite ready yet.

Can anyone tell me what is going on with my readings or point me in the right direction.

My last 4 readings have been thus:

9/6/07
Ammonia 4.0
Nitrite 2.0
Nitrate 40

11/6/07
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 2.0
Nitrate 40

16/6/07
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 2.0
Nitrate 40

17/6/07 (Today)
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 2.0
Nitrate 40

I cant seem to get the Nitrite down to 0.0 or get the Nitrate level down a little bit more - am I right in thinking it is still a bit too high?

I have been adding 12 dops of Homebase Household Ammonia every morning (Was 24 drops when I started) in my 90 Litre tank and yet the Ammonia level has been down to O.0 some a while now - Im thinking this is good as the Ammonia Munchers are working away well, is this right?

I have live plants and have seen Brown Algea come and go and not return. The plants are doing well and any dead matter has been removed.
The tank has been up and cycling for about 6 weeks now.

How well am I doing? and what should I do to make things better? I have been resisting the urge to buy any fish until I know I have got it spot on...

Cheers,
Phil

Re: Household Ammonia information #3
Can anyone advise me on where to buy ammonia. I looked today in a few shops but I'm not sure where to look really.

Where does everyone get theirs from?

Cheers,
Phil
