There was a thread about that office tank a while back on here....many people complained to Tesco who were stocking it, myself included. I sent it from my place of work (Centre for Animal Welfare) and had a reply saying that they intended to withdraw it-I don't know if they ever did. I outlined the dangers of it to fish with all those sharp edges, and the size issue, and the fact that no filter/aeration or instructions were provided, and said that their recommendation of keeping goldfish in it was cruel and ridiculous. Clearly it is still available to buy elsewhere.
When I introduced a new goldy (years ago) she took 3-4 days before she would eat anything, I checked at the lfs, and they had ben feeding floating sticks, whereas I had been using flakes. I think she was a tad confuded. New surroundings will throw them a bit as they settle in-their appetite should soon return! PS congratulations!!
Hi, I've got a 100 ish litre tank going free in Hitchin (HERTS), but you would have to collect.
This offer goes for anyone! Or it's going in the bin! Will need a strapping lad/lady to carry it down and out, as I am rather small and feeble!!
Good luck with the little fellow-hope he makes it. Perhaps you should keep an eye out for a pond nearby where someone can rehome him-he'll be much happier, do not put any more fish in that tank-it's tempting to buy more when you see them in the shop, but it really would just be cruel
