Thank you I thought that may be the case

I have a lovely parrot fish but she (I think it is female) has been making holes in the gravel by picking up the stones and throwing them out she makes tow or three of these every couple of weeks, just wondered what the reason would be. thank you

ps. on the outside of the lid in the middle the middle strip does come out with some difficulty and the starter units are inside - replaced and all hunky dorey again - cheers

Hi again, my son has been down and we managed to find out how to change the starter units as per picture I posted so I now have two lights working again, thanks very much for your help anyway - happy fishkeeping

been checking it out and I think it is a fluval roma

Not sure, just says fluval on the bottom left from of the tank and is a 200 litre one, I bought it from Pets at home

I presumed from you photo that it was the white plastic tube end piece you were indicating should be turned? that on my lighting system only releases the bulb for replacement< I feel there should be a starter unit (picture to be attached) that is maybe housed in the black unit between the light bulbs? don't know if I am making myself clear or not.

Hi and thank you for your reply, I am not having trouble changing the bulb it is the little starter unit that comes with all fluorescent lights domestic or aquatic - I don't know whether you can open the lighting unit or not.

Hi all - I haven't been on in a long long time (sorry).
Can anyone tell me how to change the starter units in my fluval 200 tank, one light now does not work and the other flickers from time to time so presume the starter unit needs replacing and I don't want to do it without some of your expert advice.

Thanks Cathie, the only place I can get some meds at the moment are from P&H (I know not the place to buy anything) but have not option until Sunday, and really need something just in case, so will have a look and see what they have got.
