Re: Advice on pregnant guppies please #1
Has she squared off yet? The babies drop down, much like human babies do, to be birthed. It makes the female appear boxy or square.

But yes, you will be able to see the eyes/Bodies of the little fry. Which I find rather creepy...

Re: New members please say hello #2
I'm not what you would call "New" persay... More like an oldie who's just come back after a few years of forgetting about the place. *Cough*

I'm Jen :) Or Wicked. I have no fish at the moment since I just moved from the USA to the UK to be with my Hubby who is English.

Looking to get a small tank with some fish because not only am I home sick, but I miss the fish I left behind! Oh no!

Re: Fantail With Dropsy or Swim bladder Help! #3
She was trying to swim when I woke up this morning, but she hasn't eaten :(

But She died while I was out getting groceries. :(

Is this something all the fish could catch?

Re: Fantail With Dropsy or Swim bladder Help! #4
From what I can see, the Gills look Red on the inside, like meat. But Its hard to tell because its like theres a flap of thin Skin covering the edge and the opening (It does move)

But shes on her side today, and struggling. Her Gills are sticking out more, and shes hardly moving.

I'm considering putting her to sleep, since I know this probably won't get better. Tried feeding peas, and She didn't eat.

Fantail With Dropsy or Swim bladder Help! #5
My little Orange fantail, Susan, can hardly swim due to My tropicals and Goldfish being in the same tank (50 gal. Old tank sprung a horrid leak :( when I was out of town, and my mom just put them all together with out thinking.) I can't move the tropicals until this summer, due to the one petstore that accepts in this area closed down :(

So the Barbs are nipping at the fishes tail, I have a divider in there now, and there is no sign of finrot (Thank goodness) But today I fed them and noticed Suzy isn't really all that active. Understandable since her back fin is ripped to shreds, but her scales are sticking out, slightly.

She appears to float upside down (Bottom up) and I hope to god its swimbladder, but today her poo was white and stringy. :(

I know if it's dropsy theres not much I can do for her, but any suggestions? I havent tried peas yet, because we don't have any (Shopping for them tomorrow)

Nano Step By step #9
Can someone tell me what I'm going to need exactly if I get a nano? I know live rock, (Im not that stupid.)

Im interested in maybe some shrimp, and a Clownfish or two. Maybe some Gobys. Something colorful, but don't need large spaces. I know starting out big is better, But I dont have the room and I dont need my mother to kill me.

Im looking into a nano, so any Help, Advice, would be fannnnnnntastic.

Re: Poorly Blue Oranda going belly up! Help please? #10
Theres actually Filter Media for the Fluvals? I was just at the petstore, and all we have are carbon pads. I was so angry trying to find something that would actually HOLD the poo and such. *sigh* Stupid pet store.
