Re: EMERGENCY CORY CATFISH NOT EATING PREGNANT AND MALES #1
MY advice for getting cory fry is to let your cory cats spawn in their main tank and remove the eggs into a hatchery... either a breeder net/box with some good waterflow or an egg tumbler. Keep an eye on them as any that grow fungus will need to be removed as they are infetrile and could infest the fertile eggs.... 3 to 6 days later and BAM, baby catfish looking all sexy and stuff.

Good luck breeding your cory cats.... its so much fun watching them do whatever they do either way :D

Re: Platy Problem #2
Platty's love to be in groups, just like guppies. They also get pretty frisky, like all live bearers so there will always be a bit of "bullying" when the poor little fellers get frustrated. I'd take the advice of the other poster and get more to placate it or just take them back to the store and add a few more tetras.

I'd also double the size of your cory cat collection. It will really add to their personalities.

Re: Platys: Random Fish Gift, No idea what I'm doing #3
Sorry to hear about your fish not doing so well friend.

We all have to learn somewhere but the person who gave you those fish is pretty irresponsible to be honest.

Get a filter straight away and get some de-chlorinater and do some water changes.

Finally, go to your local aquatics store. Not a big box store like pets at home but a store like Maidenhead Aquatics and ask the staff for help and advice. Also check out youtube videos on fishkeeping.

Aquarium Co-op
Big Als

Those two youtube channels above will have some good beginner tutorials on fish keeping to help you out. Also if you really want to let me know and i can offer some more one on one advice as an ex staff member of maidenhead aquatics to hopefully help you along your way with your hobby.

Good Luck

Re: Missing guppy #4
A friend of mine recently lost a guppy.

she searched for two days and it turned up inside the filter housing that covered the impeller... it was just chilling there catching food as it went past. something tells me it would of been more than happy to live its life sat there too lol.

Either its been eaten post dieing or it will turn up. Either way i feel your pain. I'd personally remove the guppies and bulk up the groups of fish you have. Add some yo yo loaches and a few of the phantoms to really let em shine... I'd also identify the gender of your pearls and perhaps add a few more... 1 male to however many females you want really. But thats just me.

Either way, good luck in your search and good luck in your hobby

Regards
