Hi ,ive rescued him 2 weeks ago and he is currently in quarantine of 60L with filter and oxigen. parameters are 0,0,10. During all this time he was happy and active but during the last 2 das he seems lethargic , spending alot of time on the bottom or just floating in the middle of the tank. He is eating and hes poop seems healthy, and i dont see any external signs of something wrong What do you think?
Ive posted about a blood parrot that spits her food .. in the last 3 days she stopped to eat at all and she is flashing. ive already tried to tret with prazi and with levamisole and now im treating with Ektol fkuid which contains methylen blue and benzelukim..so far no improvment.. she also seems paler then she used to be.. beacause of the flashing i suspect parasites but what parasites wont be affacted with all of those meds? what do you think? do have reccomendations for other meds? thank you
here is the befor and after pics, you can clearly se that she lost alot of color.. shes in a 200L tank with on socolofi, theyr always fighting and he is stronger, its been 2 weeks since i seperate beteen her and the scalofi that was bugging her with a plastic net in the middle of the tank and she still hasnt regain her color but she seems to be ok and continue to try fihting him through the net ,even now..do you have any sugestions what to do? water parameters are 0,0,10 and both of them eating well.
Hi, ive rescued a blood parrot fish about 10 days ago and shes in 450L tank. 2-3 days after ive rescued her i saw she is flashing so i started treatment with prazipro. the flashing has stopped, but yesterday she started to spit her food and not swallowing at all , even very small pieces. the tank is well filtered and water quality is great and she is getting alone well with the tankmates. other then spitting theres no signs of illness. Do you have any reccomendations on what to do?
. Ive rescued him 3 days ago and he isnt eating since then. He is not very active and he has a pale redness near his tail and along his body. I suspect that he has some kind of internal infection. Ive had another iridiscent shark that showed the same symptoms and after almost 2 weeks without eating a treatment with kanaplex solved the problem, so im thinking about doing the same with him. What do you think?
ok its been about a mounth, the one that got better is doing great, the other still isnt eating.he is trying to to eat ocasionly but spit the food immediatly. After a few doses of prazi without any improvment i tried to treat him with Ektol Fluid by JBL thinking maybe the flashing is due to some kind of external bacteria that infected the wounds that the parasites caused. after i used it the flashing has stopped but he is still isnt eating.. its been a mounth without him eating.. he isnt geting worse but i really want to help him.. any ideas for other treatments that might help?
Update: after treating with kanaplex and furanol i started to dose with salt in order to decrease osmoregulation stress and also treated with levamisole for external parasites. All of those treatment showed no effect and after about 2 weeks of treatments and the fish arent eating the fish with the popeye started to show signs of dropsy. Ive started treatment with prazipro and that actually worked! the dropsy signs strated to fade and for the first time i saw poop in the tank! now its about 1 week later, the popeye fish is eating and pooping but the other one isnt.. im oretty sure that he didnt ate all this time. so one of the fish is showing big improvment but the other isnt improving. he dosent show any signs, except occasional rubing against object and moving one of his fins very fast like hes trying to shake something off. I wanted to ask what do you think i should do? should i try again with antiparasites? thank you
rescued him today his backfin seems clamped all the time he breath rapidly , he has a cotton like hairs near his analfin and he has a red dot on one of his gill cap. hes very thin and dosent want to eat. ive started to treat with kanaplex and thinking about adding prazi, im also think about salt dosage to help with osmoregulation. What do you think about treatment for him? how do you suggest to dose the salt? thank you
