Re: In search of a fish Store #1
Yeah hubby is in the US air force.. I told him to ask around to some of the locals, but you know how husband can be when its not something of importance to him :/ Ill ask around with my friends and possibly my sons school teacher. She lives around here and may know.

In search of a fish Store #2
Hi everyone.. don't know if you remember me.. I haven't been on in about 6months. I used to live in Korea had two beautiful goldies then, but I had to give them away (to a good home) when I moved to Belgium. Now Im here in Villerot Belgium (near Mons) and am in search of some fish. Problem is I cant seem to find a fish store around here. Is anyone here from Belgium??

On a side note, I went to London this past weekend and had a great time ;) Went to the london aquarium and my son (who is almost 4) LOVED all the fish and sharks. He is now begging me for a fish. He went to his dad yesterday and said "daddy I want a bish" he cant say anything with an f so it was quite cute.. but yeah.. need to get a fish now, darn...

I must be doing something right.... #4
Well it looks like my fishies have decided to breed! I have fish eggs all over my plants :) I just noticed them just now.. I know my oranda was nipping at my pearlscale last night and this morning but I didn't see the "release" of eggs, but I just looked in the tank and saw LOADS of eggs all over the plants.. SO I guess Im doing something right here :)

any advice?

Leasions (red spots) #5
Ok I just looked at my fish this morning and my pearlscale has some red leasions on his back near the top fin.. He has gotten the red spots before but they always went away after a day. I figured he got pinned or something somewhere and it was just a small injury and added salt to the tank and it went away.. Maybe this is the same thing but its a couple little spots of bright red on his back. DOn't know if maybe its a disease or something that I missed. Im concerned cause I am leaving for the states Monday and will be gone for 3 weeks. Don't want to come back and have a dead fish.. My friend is caring for them while I am gone so if there is some treatment I should know about I have to tell her about it. Could it be just an injury or ulcers? what can I do? I don't have my camera here at the moment so I can't take pictures for you guys..

Re: Quick hello #6
yeah we've discussed getting out of the military because of it being an issue with our child and my husband is getting bored of his job.. but its a time will tell thing..

As for the fishies.. I dont know what IM gonna do with them :( I could take them with me but it will be a big ordeal as we are moving with two cats and a 3y/o and luggage on an air plane. Thought about donating them to an elementary school or something like that but then I worry about them. If they will be taken care of properly. Same thing goes to giving them to a kid in the building. SO I don't know what Im gonna do with them. I have 6 months to deside this. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Quick hello #8
I just wanted to say hi to everyone :) Its been a while since Ive been around.. The tank has just been doing perfectly... but weirdly I missed this place haha... We got a lot of fun stuff planned this summer. As some of you know I live in South Korea and my husband is in the US Air force. Well Next week we finally get a chance to go see some of Korea. Hubby has been working so much this past 1 1/2 years we haven't been able to see much. Next week we are going to the Coex Aquarium here.. they got a website if you want to check it out. http://www.coexaqua.co.kr (its in korean but you can still see pictures) Im pretty excited. It looks like a gorgeous aquarium Its huge! and they have a place where kids can learn about fish and go and explore fish by being able to touch star fish and whatnot.. so my kiddo should enjoy that (as well as me ;) ) Ill try and take some photos and post them.. Then in August Hubby is taking 2-3 weeks off work!! WOOOHOOO and we are flying back to the states to visit family. I am so excited. I haven't been home in a year! THEN here is the big one. In January ( Iknow its 6 months away) We are moving again! This time we are hoping for a European tour :) SO I might be heading your guy's way to the England area.. Or maybe Germany..

THats just a little update on me.. I think Im gonna hang out here more. I missed ya guys ;)

Re: testing help please... #9
K I will pick some up next time I see some..

On the water levels everything is "perfect" The NitrAte is 0 and the NitrIte is 0... it wasn that hard to get the levels back to normal did a 30% change of water and it fixed the problem in 2 days.. I got a new testing kit and love it!!! It was a little pricey ($20US) but Im happy with how it works and its easy. its the Frestwater Master Test Kit by Aquarium Pharmiaceuticals Inc. But it really is easy and it tests almost everything.. well all the normal stuff and there are over 700 tests in it.. so I am happy with the money I spend :) and Im sure the fishies are happy too :D
