Re: MY FISH ARE GOING MISSING #1
Thankyou all again for your help, Sorry that post I put on saying he drived in my pond was missleading, I ment he "landed". And yes he is just like the one in your photo "just can't stay".
I think I'm going to need a scarcrow devise. I sent my young Stafordshire bull terrior out yesterday to see the bird off. But the cheaky devil opened his beak , spread his wings and was all set for a fight, so I had to call my dog off.
Ive built a big wooden frame and enclosed the pond in netting, its such a shame as the rest of the wildlife in the garden can't get to the pond now. My wife can't see the fish either now as she is in a wheelchair.

Re: MY FISH ARE GOING MISSING #2
Many thanks to you all, Ive taken the remaining 5 young fish out of their pond and Ive put them in with their very large parents for now. Ive put netting over the top and I will build a better stronger frame tomorrow. The heron did drive straight into my pond, he's had about 20 youngsters in all. Im gutted as thay were all home bred. Sorry I cant post a photo I am new to a pc, and I havn't got a digi camera.
I love the idea of the paint gun I'm so angrey I could shoot it right now. But instead I think I might put a chair out in the garden tonight and sit my dear wife in it, that should be enough to detere anything.

Re: MY FISH ARE GOING MISSING #3
Hi Tamianth, Ive just sat up all night at the window incase someone was stealing my fish, and sure enough 5am the biggest heron Ive ever seen come out of nowhere straight into my pond. Now he's had a taste of my fish will netting alone stop him ?

MY FISH ARE GOING MISSING #4
Hello, Ive had two very large ponds for about twenty years now. Ive got dogs so Ive never really had much bother with cats in the garden.
One pond holds my very big fish, the younger in the other.
I have just been making the pond for the younger fish bigger so the netting was not over the pond. This morning to my horror I found about 15 maybe more of my young fish gone. Thay were about 6ins long some were larger. Can a Herron take this many fish in the early hours of one mornimg. My garden is very secure, and I can't see how anyone could get in to steal my fish without my dogs hearing them.
