I'm looking to buy some aquarium wood for my fishtank (online as the choice is very limited here). Where would you guys recommend, also what size would I need it's for a 100cm by 30cm tank that's 40cm high. Would you recommend a single longer piece or two or three shorter pieces? Also I have a smaller 35cm by 40cm that's 35cm high. I think one piece is enough for it? Would you recommend bogwood or mopani? I have no idea. I don't want to spend a fortune if it won't look right. Any help would be appreciated. I had thought about looking for driftwood or fallen beech wood I could but is it worth the risk?
I'd go for barbs. It's a perfect size for them. You could have a nice tank of Tiger barbs:caresheet Another good choice would be rainbow fish. If you want something very simple have a look at this post:Temperate Roma tank
Sounds like gold barbs - they are much too big for that tank as they grow to around 10cm each. Ideally they need about 80L. If I were you I'd try looking for a tank second hand as they can be super cheap.
