Re: Clown fish #1
Hi Diane,
I have a percula clown and he does the same thing at night a bit worrying at first but quite common! Aword of advice if you have a open tank dont disturb him at night as they can get verry skitish lol

Re: Clown fish is unwell :-( #5
Ok but I can?t work out why all of a sudden he has stopped eating. He took the tetra marine flake fine for the first month and only the last week and a half he has stopped eating. Is it worth me setting the QT tank up again or the LFS did have another med that said was compatible with inverts but not too sure about the coral and anemone. Has anyone used something similar??

Re: Clown fish is unwell :-( #6
Now that you mention it, he has been spitting the flake back out, My water is spot on ph 8.4, Amonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 0. But what about spots and cloudiness should I QT him again as I have both coral and inverts in the main tank?

Re: Clown fish is unwell :-( #7
I have had him for about six weeks but the guy I got him off had him for 18 months. I dont know if he is tank bread or not sorry. I feed him flake, frozen brineshrimp + spirulina. Why could his food be causing it??

Clown fish is unwell :-( #8
Hi there
My percula clown is not looking to good and is off his food.
He also has small white spots on him and his body is looking a little cloudy. I put him in a QT tank (bare with only a heater and air stone) for four days and did a course of eSHa Trimarin (wide range marine treatment) as directed by my LFS, but he is no better. I also have 1 coral beauty angel and 1 rock blenny in the main tank with him. Neither of them have the same symptoms but my angel has always shaked his head (sort of twitching) but is eating fine.
What is the best thing to do should I put the clown back in the QT??

Oh!!!, why dont they put that in the manual
Anyways a quick update I totaly striped the skimmer down and cleaned it, put it back in tank and the micro bubbles entering the tank far less. I am not quite sure why but it is better!
