Re: My TL450 for sale........ #4
Hello Riggers

i have just put in a bid for your tank on ebay

i am now to Marine keeping and your tank looks like the ideal setup that i am looking for

i live in essex so i would be able to pick up

i am abit worried about the livestock on the trip from kent to essex would everything be fine in bags for that length of time ?

also if i do win the bidding would you mind giving me some pointers on how to best setup the tank once back at home and also how to best carry out day to day tasks ?

regards

Re: LFS in essex #7
once again thanks for all your help

i think i am going to buy the small bits ie return pump , heater , skimmer and other little bits first then make the jump and by the tank

this way i hope to spread the cost of setup a little bit

i am going to start looking at the lighting system now as well might be able to get an idea of what i need to get if i do find a lighting system would i be able to get yourself to have a look to see if i am on the right track ???

i want to make it as tidy as possible so if i can get a hood to fit the top of the tank that would be best for me

cheers

glenn

Re: LFS in essex #8
thanks you the info the tank i am looking at is 254l

this is with a full sump setup just keep thinking about any problems that i might come up against

i think the biggest question i have at the min is lighting

i am looking at a n&d tank which comes with all that i need apart from lighting

thanks

glenn

Re: LFS in essex #9
hello

thank you for the info

i am near swallows in Basildon sometimes they have good stock and the livestock look great but i went there last week and found that they had very little in stock that i would need to set building my setup and also i saw a number of dead fish and other livestock in the tanks which i have always tended to shy away from

Also if it were yourself setting up a marine tank for the first time would you spend the money on a nice 36x18x24 tank with sump and all the goodies or would you look at getting a nano tank first to get an idea of the work involved

regards
