Re: Fish Food #2
Mine go mad for cucumber and water melon don't like peas or lettuce so i just use these 2 every now and again

but i feed nutrafin flake and alagae wafers twice a week for my plecs, algae eaters and loaches

Also every now and again when i remember they have frozen foods such as daphina etc.

Only feed once a day in the evenings 9.15 every night x

Re: Removing algae from ornaments #3
Most natural way is sun light if you can have them out of your tank for a while then leave them in the garden for the sun to kill of all the algae bring it wash it with hot water just to rinse of any grit etc bobs your uncle works everytime. I had a green castle that was once white put it in the garden for 3 days and it looked brand new!

No chemicals no effort!

Re: Filter sucking up RCS!?!?!? #4
Thanks for the suggestions guys they all sound fab what i might do is use some foam inside the cage at the bottom of the inlet pipe and see how i get on with that.

i am guessing the shrimp must of got sucked up when they were really small as I have seen adults just sat on the bottom of the inlet pipe and there fine so I am not even sure there is that much of a suction on it to be honest

Filter sucking up RCS!?!?!? #5
I have a Fluval Roma 240 with an external Fluval 305 after 4 weeks I did my first filter clean out I was suprised how clean it was considering it had been running for 4 weeks but to my horror inside the filter were 30 - 40 RCS they have obviously been sucked up / swam up the outlet but not sure how to stop it?!?!?!

Can you put netting over the cage at the bottom or maybe a piece of foam inside?? but i don't want to stop it sucking up dead plant matter as well as i don't want it to look unsightly in my ever so pleasing to the eye tank!!!

any advice would be much appreciated a weird one i know!!

Thanks guys Claire
