Re: My new setup #2
Well I now have all the fish bar 1 that I really wanted the only 1 that is still to come in the spotted manderinfish as I now have in the
tank:
2x regal tangs
2x (paired) common clown fish (nemo's :) )
Niger trigerfish
4 turbo snails
2x loads of green zoanthids ( some look much more orange than green tho so I might be wrong)
2 x flat anemones ( can't remember Latin name :( )

my aim in to have a reef with 6 fish but will see how it goes.

it's a closed top tank and the lighting is t8 I think which I know isnot the best but as the tank was a gift I can't really complain. I think there is roughly 27 kg of rock in the tank and as far as I know it's all live except the plastic rock that I used to cover the nasty looking backround. Now for the bad news I recently spotted whitespot on my regal tangs and am quite upset as I tryed my best not to stress these fish especianly and they still broke out in it.
I lowered my solinity down to 1019 and fed them garlic enriched brine shrimp and within 10hrs it looked to be clearing up but this was not so. yesterday I removed my active carbon filter and turned off my protons skimmer and added coral friendly meds ( waterlife octozin)as there was still some White spots.Today they seem to have more spots but much smaller and they are
still rubbing on the rocks but the cours is 3 day and then waiting period of 10 days so will see what happens.
Any advice would be helpfully as I'm new to this and greatly appreciated

here is the latest vid sorry about the quality

My new setup #5
Hi everyone this is my first post/thread I've been running my first marine setup for the past month. I'm running an aqua one 850 (35) .aqua one marisys 240 sump system .original power head converted for water movement. Elite heater. Coral sand and active gravel ontop. Not sure how much live rock I have but I'm getting some more soon as I would like to cover the majority of the back of the tank. I have 4 turbo snails just to help keep ontop of the algy 2 small regal tangs and a niger triggerfish. I had an odd looking plant appear from one of the rocks almost like a water lily but with grassy looking thin tenticles which I found out was a glass anemone so I used aiptasia-x to kill it which worked a treat. All seems to be going well apart from i've notised scum on the surface of the tank since
I've been feeding frozen food not sure if it's harmfull tho. Can anyone tell me how much live rock I should have in a 35gallon tank
