Hospital Tank #43
I'm converting my 10 Gal tank into a hospital tank for my fish- Plus a quarintine tank for my new fish, when I get them.

What do you suggest? I know goldy said that no gravel or anything is better, and just something for them to hide in?

Thanks :D

Re: Setting up 55 Gal Again. #44
if I chucked, They'd hit the bookshelf and then flop onto my bed. *Shudders* I've heard of sleeping with the fishes, but thats a bit to literal for me ;)

Re: biorb strikes again. #45
Because the apeal of the bio-orb is its orb shape. *Nods* When I saw a picture of one on here for the first time, I was all "oooh i want one." but now I know better, and am SO glad I never bought one. *nods*

Re: pregnant swordtail #46
Depends on how big she is, how long shes been preggers. Could take a week or so, or maybe a few days. As long as she appears happy- its ok to keep her in the breeding net. One thing you'll notice is right before they give birth, they wont eat and they'll go closer to the bottom and not move around as much. If you stick her back in the main tank, Just watch for that.

Re: biorb strikes again. #48
I'm no marine expert, by all means. I'm only learning here and there.. But yea, I can see the onslaught of failure. When I have my lunch break, I'll go to petsmart.com, or someone else can and they can see the newest Line there- a small Tank "Marine Ready" I haven't taken a good look at it, but if its small, I doubt it will be sucessful. *Sigh* I should really work at a petstore.

Setting up 55 Gal Again. #49
I'm very excited!! I've decided to set up my 55 Gallon again, and my Dad is going to be making me a hood for it as long as I buy the light.

But my Questions are as follows-

A.) Whats the best Internal filter that is avalible IN THE STATES. (I stress this because I know most of you are english, and some of the things you suggest aren't avalible here and I can't afford a good filter + shipping and handling prices.) So even if you go to Petsmart.com or Petco.com and have a look to inform me, that'd be super. Because I look at them and I'm all "Huh!?"

B.) Do Cycle Products work? I'd like to get fish in the tank ASAP. *Sigh* I miss my gold fishies. But!!! I will wait if need be, or just add 2 since theres enough water that it will cycle the tank, but not stress the fish too much. (And I'm getting Tiny fish, so I can watch them grow and stuffs, so If need be I'll stick them in the 10 gal which is Cycled but empty.) And yes, I might just stick the Filter media from the 10 into the 55 For a bit, so theres some sort of bacteria going on.

C.) Any thing else I need to know. I may have kept fish in the past, well gold fish, But I want to make sure none dies.

OHHH: What do people know about Lionheads, Panda Butterflies and Pearlscales? Are they ok to keep together?
