I have never bought fish by post and although they're guaranteed it just seems very wrong. Platies would be ok, but glowlight tetra do need softer water conditions which would conflict with original stocking. You could ask your lfs about ordering in some pentazona or take a few trips further afield which is always funas you get to see what other shops are stocking. hth
It won't hurt to put a heater in the tank as they run off a thermostat so you can maintain a constant temprature. If you're keeping common goldfish i wouldn't worry about the temprature drop at all as these fish are up to living in ponds outside. It may be an idea if you have fancy goldfish though.
Just thought i'd have a look at twitter and open account as everything seems to be linked to it, even Jeremy Vine.
Am i too old (36) and just not getting it but it seems to be a less informative version of face book. Maybe i'm wrong and missing out on something absolutely quality. Any other twitter users care to comment and show me the error of my ways? Tim
Yep to be honest a 90 is too small for a decent shoal of tiger barbs. As violet says to keep fin nipping down to a min they do need a larger shoal. Pentazona barbs could be a good alternative, do a search. hth
Ok If I was you i would remove all carbon and similar carbon substitute media from the filter and start treatment now.
I think this is the best course of action as it does sound like white spot, and once you've seen it you'll always know. If it is another type of proto it should still do the job.
Problem is treat with this and we've got it wrong, your fish may suffer or die from whatever their ailment really is. Alternatively, it is ich we don't treat and they die any way. Gonna ask advisors to comment but its yur call. Tim
